The HX-1 stays true to the core tenets of what has made Hema navigation devices so great, and builds upon them to provide the next level of usability and functionality while still focusing on the fundamental strength of all Hema products: the mapping.
The HX-1 comes bundled with a cradle and windscreen mount, a 12V/24V car charger and a mini-usb cable. It also has a drawstring pouch for protection and a Quick Start Guide. In terms of specifications, the HX-1 features a 1024 x 60 pixels screen, 16GB of internal memory, a powerful 1GB of RAM, and the battery is an impressive 5000mAH battery which lasts up to six hours of charge depending on the settings.The HX-1 is a hybrid on and off-road navigation unit featuring dedicated drive and explore navigation programs for straight and 4WD travel. The home screen of the device shows the date and time on the top left hand side. On the top right there's battery, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi indicators. Help button the screen will bring up a user guide.
The most prominent feature is the 7in multi-touch screen, which is accompanied by a power and charging indicator on the left, and the power button is located above this on the top of the unit. A short press and hold will turn on the HX-1, or wake it up from sleep. Down the left hand side of the HX-1 is an auxiliary port for headphone input, there's also a microSD slot for memory expansion that's capable of handling a 32GB card. A microphone can be found beside this, which captures audio in video record mode. Additonal memory is useful for storing photos and videos you capture with your HX-1. The mini-usb port which its primary purpose is for charging the device, either from the included car charger or mini USB cable. On the back of the unit is a speaker and a 5-megapixel for taking geotagged photos, and recording videos up to 480p at 15 frames per second. The serial number can be found underneath the Hema logo in the centre of the device.
